The development and testing of interfaces for visualising and exploring digital archives is one of the key research areas of netzspannung.org. For this reason you will find  cast01 proceedings
structured not just by subject area and author (Flash 5.0 required):
For the first time, the proceedings will also present the Knowledge Maps developed by netzspannung.org. The Semantic Map
combines the papers and posters at
the conference into clusters of related content on the basis of their
semantic relationships.
The Timeline
arranges the texts thematically and
presents them in the chronological sequence in which they occur
(Shockwave required).
