Kurzbeschreibung
This work is part of a series of paintings dedicated to computer graphical interface. Both the titles of works exposed and their formal structure refer to images shown on some applications' screens. In order to make clearly understandable the work's content I always try to stick to the starting image, even though the traditional pictorial language that I use tends, by its nature, to move away from it. For this reason I focus on the methodological aspect, assigning a subtitle to each work so that a need to keep a connection with the inspiring work arises. The subtitle is an acronym of computer language W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. ( What You See Is What You Get), which literally indicates that printing methods try to keep a correspondence between the images on the screen and the printed page.
These paintings refer specifically to the subject of memory. The reference program is included in Windows and Ms-Dos operating systems and does the task of monitoring the hard disk's magnetic surface (the so-called "hard memory" of the computer, where great quantities of information and data are stored).
