Abstract
Weather Project is a collaborative weather map. All project participants install specially designed sensors for measuring climatic data in their living environment. This data is fed online into a weather map which visualises the weather conditions at all the stations and therefore mirrors the microclimate of the participantsÕlife spaces. The visualisation in the network is accompanied by a light-space installation which recalls the physical character of the weather. The weather information becomes a subtle form of communication between friends and acquaintances or »chance passers-by«, who become active project participants.
