Abstract
In this paper we describe a fully implemented prototype for interactive storytelling using the UnrealTM engine. Using a sit-com like scenario as an example of how the dynamic interactions between characters and/or the user dramatise the emerging story. We present how all possible narrative variations are formalised using Hierarchical Task Networks. However, within interactive narrative representation, matters arise from the conjunction of different sorts of causality: physical, psychological and narrative.
