Abstract

The Mobile Unit is a removable web event station, a media lab on the road for sending, receiving and processing networked information streams. Its core features are video/audio streaming and the Internet link. Its compact modular structure contains a complete web production station. Up to six video sources can be connected, mixed and processed. Three main components - the network module for different bandwidths, the multimedia online editing module, the 100 Stream Kasenna media server (supports all known multimedia formats),
MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 hardware encoders and multimedia software- all help to provide a stateof-the-art media production environment. The Mobile Unit is a unique instrument for production and presentation of networked projects. It can set up a cordless, server-supported production environment independently of physical networks and provide it with multimedia services. The Transport Pack Design enables rapid, cordless plug-and-play operation. Accompanied with flexible fast fold screens and video projector suspension adjustable for height the Mobile Unit serves as a basis for small group workshops supported by an all -in one device. The quality lies in the bundling of hardware and software – a package that has previously never been available to non-professional users. The user-friendly plug and play concept, coupled with the sophisticated technology, meets the needs of basic users and professional users alike.
