When Stephan came to the NSCAD as an exchange student he came with great technical skills and an impressive formal examination of the visualization of time in the context of interactive multimedia. At NSCAD he became involved in the Film Production and honed in on narrative, character and storytelling as elements to explore and fold into his work. The result of this training and a collaborative partnership with writer Me Scholfield, led to this piece; an multiple perspective narrative. Seminar / KurzbeschreibungThis piece was produced during a course called STUDIO. This is a 9 credit course that students take in the last two years of a four year BFA degree program that allows them to explore their own creative work in the context of feedback and critique from the class and the instructor. Students come from any number of backgrounds in the arts to work under a single instructor for a semester. Students are expected to present research and define creative goals for themselves and work on projects to completion for public presentation. The collaboration grew out of the class environment very organically as Stephan and Me discovered their complimentary interests. Then, in the context of discussions and crits, the collaboration evolved. They also were very successful at executing this project with high production values and within a very limited time. | ||||||
