Kurzbeschreibung

Das System DataTiles integriert den Nutzen von zwei zentralen Interaktionsparadigmen: graphische und physikalische User Interfaces. Beschriftete transparente Fliesen werden als modulare Bausteine benutzt. Den Fliesen werden dynamische, grafische Informationen beigefügt, wenn sie auf einen Sensor-verstärkten Flachbildschirm platziert werden. Sie können unabhängig voneinander benutzt werden oder in komplexeren Konfigurationen kombiniert werden, ähnlich wie Sprache komplizierte Konzepte durch einfache Worte ausdrücken kann. (Jun Rekimoto)

  • This project was presented at ACM SIGCHI 2000. Several media (including BBC and NHK) reported. From 2001, the second generation of DataTile is permanently exhibited at Sony Explora Science Tokyo, which is a science museum produce by Sony Corporation.
