Kurzbeschreibung

The artist Mathias Fuchs works on media projects with Sylvia Eckermann. His interest lies in the field of electronic art, especially computer mediated sound generation and manipulation. After participating in a research project at Electronic Music Studios in Stockholm, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, the University of Music and the Design College, Linz. From 2001 to 2002, he was Visiting professor for music and media at Sibelius Academy Helsinki, Finland.
Currently he is Senior Lecturer for Creative Technology at Salford University in Manchester .

Werke / Projekte

Projects (in progress): FemCity,
a multiuser computer game about careers, lifestyle, dreams and realities of young women.
"FemCity" is a simulation of a complex social and economic environment, which young
women find themselves in, when designing their future.
"FemCity" is developped in collaboration with Edeltraut Hanappi-Egger and Gerhard Hanappi
and commissioned by the Bureau of Womens Affairs, Vienna/ A
