Abstract

Maarten Handstede completed his Interaction Design studies at the Utrecht School of Arts with an extended internship at VPRO-digital. He then started working as an interaction designer at Virtual Affairs, where he designed and developed websites for clients such as KPN, Canon, VNU and Het Parool. After two years he was employed by the International Film Festival Rotterdam, where he focused on the development of a new database-driven website and its integration in the festival's organisation. Together with two partners he founded internet agency Q42, where he combined design work for lightweight internet tools with projects for Paradiso and Holland Festival. In August 2001 he started working at V2_Lab as an interaction designer and project manager.
